Dr. Rebecca is board certified to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine in the state of Florida and has been in practice since 2017. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from East West College of Natural Medicine where she completed her studies in Oriental Medicine/Traditional Chinese Medicine, Western pathophysiology, and several years of clinicals working hands on with patients in clinics across Tampa bay and Sarasota in order to sit for the four boards required to become licensed (Biomedical, Herbology, point location, and fundamental theory).
After becoming board certified, she opened her practice in downtown Saint Petersburg, FL, focusing on primary care, successfully treating health issues using TCM. Health issues patients sought care for range from pain, migraines, TMJ, arthritis, allergies & respiratory illness, painful or irregular periods, hot flashes, chronic yeast infections, ear infections, female reproductive health, post operative recovery, wound healing, emotional wellness & stress management, adjunct addiction recovery, gastrointestinal health, and dermatological issues.
While maintaining her practice, Dr. Rebecca joined ChenMed where she worked with a staff of primary care physicians and specialists, treating the senior community with a focus on pain management.
Returning solely to private practice, she now treats patients for a wide array of health complaints, and has achieved successful outcomes, while offering compassionate holistic care. Her compassionate care takes into account the whole person, mind, body, and soul. She offers acupuncture, cupping, herbal medicine, nutraceuticals (supplementation), homeopathic remedies, Chinese dietary therapy, and lifestyle guidance to return to health.
The desire to help others beckoned in 2008 where she began teaching yoga and meditation after living in an ashram in India becoming certified. The curriculum focused on the founding principles of yoga but also included coursework under MD's explaining the health benefits of yoga. She has taught both yoga and meditation throughout south Florida and Tampa Bay, and continues self-practice to this day as a crucial part of maintaining her own health.
"It's my desire to touch as many people as possible and share what has been freely given to me: that quality of life can be a reality, even in the face of illness. There are no cure-alls, but there are many natural ways we can restore ourselves to health. My focus is on quality of life. There are no guarantees, but we can live well along the way. I owe most of what I am made of today to the amazing mentors and teachers I've had along the way, and to God for the strength and endurance to accomplish the dream of helping others - to share hope and health. ALL are welcome here."
